This most tropical-looking and waxiest of flowers comes out when the weather is least clement in February and March. Tea comes from a bush of the same family, indeed its Latin name is Camellia Sinensis but the tea gardens of Assam, Ceylon or Kenya are sadly not covered with the strong pink or stripey flowers of that plant's most decorative cousin.
