When are the Open Days this year?
This year we have decided to split our open days over two weeks, and we will be holding four Open Days on 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th July.
We get lots of feedback from Collectors who find our term-time events difficult to attend, particularly as our Open Days usually fall towards the end of the summer term where teachers and parents are very busy!
This year we are asking Collectors to apply for one of the four dates and we will do our very best to make sure as many Collectors as possible can attend.
How do I apply for tickets?
You need to apply via the Members page from Monday 25th January 2016, select your preferred week and date, how many tickets you would like to buy (max 4) and the names of your guests. Please apply by Friday 4th March 2016. Tickets cost £25 each and include all activities and refreshments on the day.
Why are you asking people to only choose one day?
Our Open Days are very popular, and we would like as many Collectors as possible to be able to attend. This year there will be more tickets available than ever before, and by asking people to choose one day to attend it means that more people will be able to come.
How will tickets be allocated?
If any days are over subscribed we will pick winners at random from all entries for that day. Each Collector will only be entered into a single dayís draw, so please donít be tempted to enter multiple times.
Will all four days be the same? And what activities will there be?
Yes, we will be offering the same activities on each of the four days.
Our Open Days are a great way to meet other Collectors as well as a great opportunity to add to your own Emma Bridgewater collection. Everyone who attends our Open Days gets to go on a Factory Tour, and Decorate their own piece of Emma Bridgewater pottery, plus there will be special pottery pieces to buy, the chance to see our Autumn and Christmas collections for the first time, a guided tour of our lovely Garden, and plenty of time to find a bargain in our Factory Shop too!
When will I find out if I have been allocated tickets?
You will be contacted between Monday 14th and Friday 18th March and given details of how to book your tickets. If you donít hear anything during this time you will be added to our Waiting List.
Will there be a waiting list?
We are really hoping that by offering more tickets, and asking people to choose their preferred week and day, we will be able to offer tickets to everyone who would like to attend. If the days are still oversubscribed we will be reallocating any tickets that become available.
I need to stay overnight and need to book accommodation, when can I do this?
We wouldnít recommend making any travel or accommodation plans until you have you been allocated tickets and purchased them. While we are hoping to fulfil the majority of ticket requests, we canít guarantee this.
What if my preferred day is over subscribed?
If your preferred day is over subscribed we will try to allocate you tickets for the other date that week, or the following week Ė if all four days are oversubscribed we will add you to our waiting list.
Can I bring my children with me?
Yes, children under 16 can come for free and donít need a ticket, please just let us know in advance. Children will not be allocated Specials tickets but they are very welcome to accompany you on all activities throughout the day.
Will Emma and Matthew be there?
Emma and Matthew often work from our Design Studio at the Factory so if they are there on the Open Days itís very likely you will get to meet them.
I usually book on behalf of a group, how do I request tickets this year?
