Hooray for Horatio’s

Over the years we’ve been lucky enough to work with some very special organisations to create beautiful mugs that help support their causes. For several years now we’ve worked with Horatio’s Garden, a charity that creates and lovingly cares for beautiful accessible gardens in NHS spinal injury centres.

The charity, named after Horatio Chapple, began in 2011 when Horatio was volunteering at the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre in Salisbury. He noticed a lack of outdoor space for patients with spinal injuries and their loved ones to use when they were spending time in the spinal treatment centre and decided to do something about it. The idea of Horatio’s Garden was born.

Tragically Horatio’s life was cut short at 17 when his camp was attacked by a polar bear whilst on an expedition to Svalbard. His legacy however, lives on. Find out more about this wonderful charity here.

The Emma Bridgewater Horatio’s Garden mugs are available to buy directly from the charity. Choose between several designs, enjoy a relaxing cup of tea in your garden and know that your purchase has helped support this excellent cause.
