The Original Gluggle Jug TM have been produced in England for more than 150 years and Emma Bridgewater have done a special, limited edition collaboration, between two iconic British brands! Unlike its copies, the Gluggle Jug gurgles and is certified for being used for drinking purposes. Only the original has its name stamped under the base - that's how you can double check!

No, the Gluggle Jugs are not made from the same earthenware as Emma Bridgewater pottery. While Emma Bridgewater pottery is made using our own distinctive cream-coloured earthenware biscuit, the Gluggle Jugs are produced by The Gluggle Jug Factory using their own materials and methods.

This limited-edition collection is a special collaboration between two iconic British brands, and while the decoration features Emma Bridgewater’s signature hand-painted style, the base material and production process differ from our standard pottery range.

We guarantee all our products for 2 years from the date of purchase, whether a self-purchase or a received as a gift. The guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, commercial use, or misuse of the product.

This is a special, limited-edition collaboration between Gluggle Jug and Emma Bridgewater, and the standard five-year guarantee that we offer on our core ceramic products for crazed items does not apply in the same way. The jug itself is produced by Gluggle Jug and not made from Emma Bridgewater biscuit (ceramic body), therefore we cannot extend to the full five-year replacement policy typically associated with Emma Bridgewater pottery for crazed items.
We are committed to standing behind the quality of this unique partnership piece, and any issues within the two-year period will be handled with care and attention.

If for any reason your product develops a fault during this 2 year period, kindly contact our Customer Services team and we will aim to replace the item free of charge. You will be required to provide a photo of the faulty items, a proof of purchase and to return the item to us (at our expense). If your original item is no longer available, then a like for like replacement will be offered. Please contact the original place of purchase for any items that you did not buy directly from us.

It is extremely rare for a Gluggle jug not to gurgle. In order for it to gurgle, it has to be filled with water between the eye and the belly and you have to swing it back and forth. So just pretend to pour it in and then swing the fish back.

If there is still water above the eye, no air gets into the tail when pouring and the jug cannot gurgle. If there is too little water in the fish, there can be no play between water and air and then it won't gurgle either. Don't forget: It gurgles when it rocks back and forth. That is the secret.
