Customer Service Assistant

Distribution Centre, Stoke-on-Trent

We are looking to recruit a Customer Services Assistant to work in our Stoke On Trent Distribution Centre office.

This role will support our Customer Services team to deliver effective and efficient customer relationships. You will be required to answer phone calls, respond to emails and process orders.

You must be polite and professional, and be able to deal calmly with customer enquiries and complaints. You will need to be computer literate and familiar with Excel.

The hours of work will be 39 hours over 6 days [between 08.00-20.00] with occasional requirement to work additional hours during our busy periods.

Payroll Officer

Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent

We are looking to recruit a part time Payroll Officer to prepare and process our weekly payroll for over 300 employees.

We presently process paper based timekeeping methods clock cards and timesheets.

In addition you will be required to process all relevant statutory payments and ensure that all appropriate record keeping requirements are met.

You will issue payslips and be able to answer questions and investigate any payroll queries for our staff in a calm but confident manner.

You must be an experienced payroll operative, knowledgeable about all procedures and record keeping requirements, with excellent data entry and communication skills.

Hours of work will be Monday and Tuesday, with the 3rd day being a half day on either Thursday or Friday.

Handy-person/Gardener

Bampton, Oxfordshire

We are looking to recruit a handy-person/gardener to support the maintenance and development of the Bampton site and gardens, in Oxfordshire.

Knowledge of building trades eg. carpentry/ brick laying/ stonework/ painting and decorating would be an advantage.

Other roles would include assisting the head gardener with two-person jobs, heavy groundwork, lawn mowing, game-bird processing and involvement on shoot days throughout the shooting season.

A love of the outdoors and an affinity with animals is essential.

The right candidate would enjoy a varied and versatile work-load.

Full-time position, paid hourly. To include some weekend work up to 40 hours per week.

As part of our commitment to retaining skills and developing careers in the Ceramics Industry, we are happy to consider applications for Apprenticeships. These could be for roles in our Office, Shops, Design Studios, Warehouse or in Ceramics Manufacture. As well as receiving on the job training working closely with an experienced Mentor, we would support the achievement of a relevant and recognised qualification.

Work Experience

We are committed to developing links with schools, colleges and universities, and we are happy to accept invitations from students looking to undertake unpaid work experience placements. These placements may involve time spent in our Offices, Shops, Warehouse or Factory, normally over a 3 day period.
