Emma Bridgewater Ltd are very excited to be returning to Bicester Retail Village again with a Pop Up Shop from October 2017 to and January 2018.

We are therefore looking to recruit the following:

2 x Supervisors to work 34 hours p/w each (over 7 days)

3 x Part time Retail Assistants to work between 11-21 hours per week each (over 7 days)

We are seeking retail focussed individuals to delight our customers, develop our Brand and who will work as a team to achieve daily sales targets.

The Pop Up Shop will open on 14th October 2017 and close late January 2018.

Kitchen Assistant

Stoke on Trent

The Kitchen Assistant role will assist in the day to day running of the Emma Bridgewater Café on our retail site in Stoke-on-Trent. This position will involve work in various areas of the kitchen including: baking, food preparation, and Kitchen Porter.

Responsibilities

Working with the Head Chef to ensure that the kitchen functions efficiently on a day to day basis.

Baking cakes and scones for sale in the Café as well as for Afternoon Teas

Taking lead of kitchen staff when Chef and Chef de partie are not present.

Preparing food in accordance with the daily menu and Chef’s specials.

Undertaking routine cleaning and washing of pots/dishes to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in kitchen at all times.

Assisting in meal service and ensuring a high level of customer service is given at all times.

Adherence to Environmental Health Laws and advice from Local Officer.

Working closely with retail and catering colleagues

eCommerce Assistant

Putney office, London

Our website is a key sales channel for us and we are looking for a bright, motivated individual to join us as an eCommerce Assistant in our London office. Reporting to the eCommerce Manager, you will ensure the day-to-day smooth running of the website and help optimise our website to drive sales. You will be an enthusiastic individual with excellent attention to detail, quick to pick up new systems and an eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

Setting up products on the website, updating product information

Daily and weekly eCommerce reporting – including acting on insights

Under guidance of eCommerce Manager, implementing price changes, sales launches and promotions. Setting up key landing pages

Optimising onsite search and category merchandising

Regular refresh of homepage content

Daily site walk to ensure all products live and easy to navigate

Alongside the eCommerce Manager plan and implement website developments and functional improvements

Essential Skills

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Excellent communication skills & highly numerate

Strong IT skills and quick to learn new systems

Flexible and proactive

Useful Skills & Experience (but not critical)

1 to 2 years of experience working within an online team

Good Microsoft Excel Skills

Good Photoshop skills

Good HTML, CSS, Javascript skills

Knowledge and interest in UX, CRO, AB Testing

The hours of work will be 37.5 hours p/w. Occasional travel to our other sites in Stoke On Trent and Oxford may be required.

Assistant Manager - Fulham Shop

Fulham Shop, Fulham, London

We are looking to recruit a Full Time Assistant Manager for our shop on Fulham Rd.

The ideal candidate will ideally have previous management/supervisory experience in a retail environment and knowledge of the Emma Bridgewater Ltd brand and product.

Strong customer service and sales skills are essential for this role.

In addition you will be required to check the assist with management of stock, staff and sales, as well as ensuring the shop looks visually appealing.

You must be a team player, be prepared to use your own initiative and be flexible.

Hours of work will be 4 days p/w over a 7 days rota.

As part of our commitment to retaining skills and developing careers in the Ceramics Industry, we are happy to consider applications for Apprenticeships. These could be for roles in our Office, Shops, Design Studios, Warehouse or in Ceramics Manufacture. As well as receiving on the job training working closely with an experienced Mentor, we would support the achievement of a relevant and recognised qualification.

Work Experience

We are committed to developing links with schools, colleges and universities, and we are happy to accept invitations from students looking to undertake unpaid work experience placements. These placements may involve time spent in our Offices, Shops, Warehouse or Factory, normally over a 3 day period.
