field&flower Ultimate Burger
Like most people, we’re embracing a summer at home filled with great food and BBQs. Make the most of your staycation with these delicious free-range and grass-fed burgers, from fridge to plate in under half an hour and delivered to your door by award-winning online butcher field&flower. Top with mature cheddar, mayonnaise and gherkins for a high-welfare take on this traditional summer staple.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
4 x field&flower Burgers
100g Somerset cheddar, sliced
4 x brioche buns, sliced in half
Large handful of spinach
2 x large tomatoes, sliced
2 x gherkins, sliced
2 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce (optional)
- Bring your BBQ to a medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for 5 minutes on each side, or until finished to your liking. In the final 2 minutes of cooking time, place one slice of cheddar onto each burger until melted. In the final minute of cooking time, place the brioche buns onto the grill (cut side down) and leave until lightly toasted.
- To assemble your burger, cover the base of each brioche bun with mayonnaise, then layer with the spinach, burger, tomatoes and gherkins. Finish your burger with a drizzle of sweet chilli sauce, or extra mayonnaise if liked.
