Strawberries are one of the English garden’s greatest gifts, and a taste worth waiting for as Spring gives way to Summer. Where would a British garden party be without them? Best eaten freshly picked from your own patch, they're perfect in Pimms, in a Victoria sponge or eaten straight from the serving bowl on the way to the table. Don't forget the cream.
