Seconds Thistle Tiny Plate Decoration
In Scotland, you’ll often find the thistle as an ornament carved into stone lintels, stitched into wool or etched in silver. We’ve made the thistle into a pottery ornament, using equal care and craft skills: our hand-sponged Thistle Tiny Plate Decoration. What is a Second?
All our pottery is carefully inspected before it leaves the factory. An item is classified as a 'Second' if there is a slight fault in the finish, decoration or the shape. These faults are not structural and each piece will still function as intended. Most faults are marked with a black line which will be visible when your item arrives but washes off with a damp cloth.
