A father answers to many names, as illustrated by our Black Toast Dad 1/2 Pint Mug.
‘Daddy’ may belong to scraped knees and being swung upside down in the garden. Then suddenly it’s ‘Dad’, usually shouted from the top of the stairs. ‘Papa’ and ‘Padre’ feel chic and European, while ‘Pops’ comes in to its own when you need to borrow money.
The name may change, but the role does not. It’s the same guy who taught you to ride a bike, fixes things and offers advice you pretend not to need. So treat him to this gift of a Father’s Day mug … it’s a well-deserved tea and coffee mug bearing at least one or more of your monikers for him. But whatever you call him, he is – and always will be – your dad.
What is a second? All pottery is inspected before it leaves the factory. When an item is classified as a second the fault or faults may be in the finish, the decoration or the shape. The faults are not structural (i.e. each piece still functions as intended and is useable). Faults are marked with a black line which will be visible when your product arrives but washes off with a damp cloth.
