We have teamed up with fellow B-Corp Sawday's, known for their special collection of places to stay, each one inspected for its warmth and character, to give away a stay in the UK or Europe.
One lucky winner will win: a Sawdays' voucher £200 to spend on a stay of their choice and £200 worth of Emma Bridgewater product of their choice.
Autumn is a peaceful and beautiful time of year to explore the UK, from rolling hills, patchwork fields, chocolate-box villages and quaint pubs, there's plenty of places on home soil to bookmark for a visit.
Taking inspiration from our Landscape of Dreams collection, we have gathered a lovely selection of Sawday's guides to send you off on a local adventure. Sawday's share must-sees, tips from locals and recommend a selection of beautiful places to rest your head at the end of a day's exploration.
If you think the Cotswolds is just a giant oil painting you can walk around in, it’s time to take a closer look. On our visit in June we found that while there certainly is impressive history and an abundance of picture-perfect scenes, there’s also a thriving culture, which is both developing and preserving the area’s heritage.
Pretty villages lined with Georgian houses and buildings, great pubs, a fierce independence, rugged landscapes, wild, empty beaches, and incredible wildlife. We fell in love with Norfolk on our trip and crowned it “the best place for an autumn staycation”.
The Lake District
While we’d thought that travelling outside summer might make for worse weather, one local reassuringly told us, “it rains a lot here all year, but that’s sort of the point. It’d be The Hole in the Ground District otherwise.”
We know Cornwall so well that we often imagine there’s nothing more to discover, but we're always delighted to be proved wrong. With a little digging, an open mind and a willingness to push on further down the trails and tread new sands, we continue to find bucketfuls of exciting things that make us fall for the crinkled coast and unique culture of Cornwall all over again.
After a full day of exploring, pop the kettle on and enjoy a cup of tea in one of our Landscape of Dreams mugs.Shop Here
