As the summer days shorten, the blackberries ripen, and just like that, it's time for blackberry foraging. Collect a colander for all sorts of jams, jellies, compotes and puddings.

A hedgerow does a lot more than mark where one field ends and another begins, it’s often referred to as Britain's oldest nature reserve, offering food, shelter and nesting spots to HUNDRES of species all year round. Come blackberry season, things get especially lively. The hedgerow lays on a feast, and it turns out we're not the only ones who've noticed.
