Burns Night Traditions

Guid food on the table, a poem read out loud (clear voice and a willing audience required!), a dram raised high, and nae soul in a hurry to scarper. Start with thistle here, there, everywhere, dried, or ceramic will do nicely. Don’t forget to lay on an EB Thistle table runner to bring the whole braw affair together.

A very easy Burns Night supper:
• Haggis brought to the table in an EB enamel roaster (so it stays warm while the Address to a Haggis is read and the dagger is sharpened
• Neeps (mashed swede with butter and black pepper)
• Tatties (mashed potatoes, well-buttered)
• A good gravy, poured generously
• & of course, a wee dram of whisky to toast the bard.
